DAY TWO

Breakfast in the HOTEL -

We used the U-Bahn from Nollendorfplatz to Wittenbergplatz, which is right outside Ka De We.

(Wittenburgplatz is one of the oldest stations in historical terms,in Berlin).

Today is Caroles day and she has decided to go to Ka De We to see what colour the Christmas Tree in the entrance is this year. It has been gold and white in other years.

This year it is green with lots of little owls, reindeer, unicorns and geese. (All stuffed of course !)

Ka De We was very busy especially with people taking photos of the tree. Santa must have been on his tea break when we were there.

Then we then spent some time wandering around the Christmas Market at the Gedachtniskirche as the snow came down.

We bought more Gluhwein and purchased our souvenir pot boots in which they served the Gluhwein !! Carole bought a hat !!!

Since we were hungry, we then walked down to the Hard Rock Cafe on Mienckestrasse. We ate well and again had time to dry out and warm up.

We used the U-Bahn to return to Nollendorfplatz and were walking back to the hotel when we saw people in German uniform ahead of us. We found out that a film was being made beside our hotel. It is Quentin Tarantinos remake of "Inglorious Bastards" starring Brad Pitt and Diane Kruger (He has returned to America so we missed him !)

Across the road huge floodlights were beamed onto a house front where the film was being taken.

At night we went by taxi to Reinhards in the Nicholaiviertal, another one of our favourite restaurants.
